I just went to my doctors appointment last week and my blood pressure was normal. I have no symptoms of pre-eclampsia. But just about 5 minutes ago I walked into my bedroom and started seeing little fussy white dots all over the place and it freaked me out. It was in my vision and I got kinda dizzy after wards.

Is there anything else that can cause "floaters" besides pre-eclampsia? Because I really don't think I have that. I would think they would of caught that at my last exam last week. I am almost 16 weeks pregnant too which I thought was too early for this. This is my second pregnancy.

  1. Rest, you are pushing yourself too hard. eat something your blood sugar is most likely low. This happened to me all the time with my second pregnancy. You have another child to care for, you are constantly busy with either work or caring for your child and don;t realize that it's too much for your body---That was me anyway! Go sit down, put your feet up, have a snack and a big glass of milk!

  2. low iron can cause dizziness i often have it, the other day i saw stars an i dont have pre-eclampsia...

  3. Yes, I have low blood pressure during pregnancy and get them.  I have had it in all 4 pregnancies and have never had high blood pressure.

  4. it could be many things, low iron, standing up to fast etc. Your right it is too early for it to be pre-eclampsia. If it starts happening more often tell your dr.

  5. I get those all the time. From eye strain or when I have a headache. I get them when I look to one side too fast or have to strain to see something to the left or right. Pregnancy messes with your vision anyway, I would say don't worry. Maybe mention it to your OB next visit to see what she says.

  6. I'm working on baby number 4 and it sounds to me like you stood up or switched positions too quickly, it's not unusual with all the changes that are taking place. However, if it continues to happen and it makes you feel uneasy call your doctor.
