Can you have too many songs on Windows Media Player 11?

It seems that my player is getting slower. And I have been downloading many songs and I doubled checked with a virus scan. I currently have just about 1100 songs.. Is that too many and will slow down the the media player and possibly the computer?

Well Yes  you have to remember that the computer  has to sort , organize, and find every song you have. And thus  1100 small little files cluttering around  your  computer will slow it down  greatly.  I would Highly suggest that you get rid of the songs that you barely listen to..maybe  burn them on a CD if you can.
