Can you have too much apple cider vinegar?

i drank 3/4 cup in total yesterday and i just drank 1/2 cup right now. will there be any adverse effects other than stomach ache and slight heartburn?

  1. Yes, you can have too much... but that's not too much. There is a possibility you might get an upset stomach from it, but that depends on what else is in your stomach and how sensitive your stomach is. If you're worried about it, you could eat some carbohydrates (crackers, chips, oatmeal, etc) to minimize any potential stomach upset... you should be just fine, though. Good luck!


  2. A teaspoon a day should be ample...too much acid is not good for the body as a whole.

  3. Taking such large amounts is probably too much.  Hopefully you diluted the ACV with lots of water as drinking it undiluted is most definitely not recommended.  That could ruin your teeth and cause a few other problems.  One or two ounces a day (28 to 56 gm) is probably more than enough.

    Too much of anything is bad for you.
