Can you hear music and continue to work on your computer at the same time?

I'm really new to computers and I want to hear music while I play games etc. Is this possible?

    Great Radio so you can listen to music while playing a game.

    You can also play music of your own on a media player like WinAmp

  4. Yup just go into game options and turn off all sound from the game, and then open up your iTunes or whatever and your good.

    if you have itunes, just plug your ipod in and then press play.

    or if its confusing for you, you can always just get a radio or ihome or speakers to play your music and put it by your computer work area.

  10. Yes, In windows childhood there was "multitasking" its still used today. If you use Windows that is, Yes you can hear music and work and move on at the same time. Its called multitask.

  11. I play the sims while listening to music all the time. Some music player slow the game play down, but I use Winamp. Also make sure that your computer can support the game well otherwise there will be lots of lag. It also help to turn the sound off of the game your playing, or atleast turn off any in-game music.

    Although, you may hear pauses/interruptions occasionally if the sounds "clash".

Sure.  Just open the program you use to play music, and then open your game.  Just note that if your game has music, or speech, or other sounds, you may want to turn them down in the game's options menu. Otherwise, both the sound from the game, as well as your music will play at the same time, and neither will sound very pleasant.
