Can you help a family stranded in the Philippines?

I am a U.S. citizen,currently in the Philipines with my perm. U.S. resident wife and my two young children 5yrs and 2yrs, who are both U.S. citizens.I was receiving SSDI and barely able to support my family here(Philippines),but now that my SSDI has been dicontinued (2-1-07). Because, I was out of the country over 30 days. I was only trying to take care ofI am a U.S. citizen,currently in the Philipines with my perm. Because, I was out of the country over 30 days. I was only trying to take care of my children on $576 per month. Which I didn't realize was a bad thing! Now I can't even support my family here ,and to maked matters even worse,our VISA' S are now expired as of(1/07/07).

My parents are elderly can't help as they are, on fixed incomes, and my wifes family's here only earns about 3 usd per day. I NEED TO GET MY CHILDREN BACK TO AMERICA. A.S.A.P..   1. Hi -- Apply for a repatriation loan at the Embassy in Manila.


  2. You should contact the US embassy first. Tell them your situation, more importantly tell them that your children are American citizens. I hope your situation works out.

  3. Rush to the US embassy in Manila or contact their citizens emergency number. You can repay their your repatriation expenses once you return to US.

  4. You need to go to the embassy in Manila, claim poverty, and request assistance getting your family back to the United States.  They'll arrange a loan if you have no family members who can help.

    You should have known that after 30 days outside the United States the SSDI ends.
