Overall shape is a narrow, blunted oval -- abdomen 3mm with embossed vertical stripes on dorsal surface / horizontal sections on ventral surface -- thorax and head 1.5mm with shiny solid surface on thorax -- antenna stick out to the sides of the head, then swing forward and have fringes on the ends -- another pair (or mouth parts) are shorter and more directly out to the front -- legs have a longer pointed segment, then a shorter pointed segment a bit closer to the body. I felt one in my hair and then one under my shoulder and one under my back, as I read in bed last night. I got up and collected about 8 - saw no more. I laid down to read again and everything repeated - I collected another 7! That was it for last night. In their baggie, they seem to prefer the darkness. They were sort of pinchy on my skin, but not biting, I don't think. They do not seem to match up with "black carpet beetle" pictures I have found on the web. Thanks for any info.
