Can you help me, I some how managed to delete my recycling bin on my desktop on windows vista.?

how can i restore it, i know how to get into it but i want it on the desktop, I tried making a shortcut but it always looks full?

go to it and right click and click on create shortcut

I had the same thing happen, and there is nothing you can do.  It seems to be a glich in Vista.  I heard the only way to fix this is to redownload the recycle bin off of a site.  Not sure of the site.  Maybe someone else will know.  It will still work fine, just won't have your recycle bin look empty when it's emptied.

Do this:

1. Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize.

2. Click the Change Desktop Icons entry in the left pane.

3. Check the Recycle Bin checkbox.

4. Click OK.

That should do it.

Right click on your desktop

Click on Personalize from the menu

Select change desktop icons

Now click in the box beside recycle bin

go to the start menu and type recycle bin.....click on the recycle bin and empty it and then close the recycle bin and go to the start menu again and type recycle bin....this time it wont look full....and drag that recycle bin outside on the dekstop
