Over the past years my English classes have been extremely easy for me, yet your class feels like a challenge that, no matter the consequences, I will overcome.

    I think. I'm not a hard-core grammar guy lol

  3. Over the past years my English classes have been extremely easy for me, yet your class feels like a challenge that, no matter the consequences, I will overcome.  (your phrase as posted)

I am assuming that this is for an English class....    and you actually feel that this English class is much more challenging than the classes in the previous years.    Consequences only happen after a decision or action is made (which the sentence didn't point out)  Consequences could be failing, passing getting a B or an A etc.... Overcoming equals to succeeding in or passing the English class.  So what are you really trying to say here?

The reason why it sounds wrong is because it feels empty ... the sentence is not saying what you really intend to say even if you load it up with commas.

  4. Over the past years my English classes have been extremely easy for me; yet your class feels like a challenge which, no matter the consequences, I will overcome.

  5. Over the past years, my English classes have been extremely easy for me. However, your class feels like a challenge, that no matter the consequences, I will overcome.

  6. The word ‘consequences,’ to me, doesn’t quite fit the intended meaning. I think the word you want in place of ‘consequences’ is ‘difficulties.’

    I suggest:

Unlike past years, when English classes have been extremely easy for me, your class presents new challenges that, no matter the difficulties, I will strive to overcome.

    or

Unlike past years, when English classes have been extremely easy for me, your class presents new challenges that, no matter the difficulties, I will surely overcome.

    or

Unlike past years, when English classes have been extremely easy for me, your class presents new challenges that, no matter the difficulties, I will overcome.

P.S. You could even drop the phrase, ‘no matter the difficulties,’ in the above sentences if you wish
