It came out of a 97 Chevy Cavalier RS.

It was under the dash, driver's side.

It's made by "Mallory"..

Underneath "Mallory", it says "263"..

It has white writing in the left corner = "6351"

On the back it says "293-86655 Mexico 9645"

3 wires go to it - one yellow, one gray, one green..

It's a small silver aluminum part, with black plastic

where the 3 connector thingies are.

Any idea?

  1. souns like a relay , flasher or diodoe

  2. Yeah, "Dimmer Module" and your third picture shows the "Pot" or Transistor. Less costly to buy the Complete unit. Take all the Numbers "Part & Model" to buy the New One.

  3. SASHA

that sounds like a relay for an aftermarket burglar alarm,or a number of user installed products. a relay could also be a part of a 'kill' switch, fog lights just to name a few. if you can upload a photo it would not be hard to identify that way.

  4. dimmer module for the dash lights. Some parts books call it a diode
