Question:

Can you help me find a couple of puzzle-games?

I've been searching everywhere for a couple of puzzles (looking to buy, or for guidance as to what to look for). They are:

L'ane Ruge (sliding block puzzle game); a different version is called "Let me Through" where the theme is to get the fat lady off of the bus

Don't know the name of this one, but you have a number of shapes that consist of a number of blocks each, and you're supposed to arranged (all of) the blocks according to a picture that shows the entire structure already made. The one that I recall seeing had blue "blocks".

Thank you very much for your help/effort!

  1. L'ane Rouge is comonly known as Klotski.  It was available in the windows game pack.

I am not aware of it as a physical game product, only as a computer game.

The second game you describe is Block by Block.

Edit:  I did find evidence of physical copies of the game.

  2. try backdoor.com they have bunches and bunches of games listed

  3. Vince has covered your second question well, the original version of "Block by Block" was called the "Soma Cube."

You can find a wooden version of "Let me Through" at the following link, under the name "Major Migraine Maker."

Binary Arts, the same company that adapted the Soma Cube into "Block by Block" has a version of "Let Me Through" called "Rush Hour."  It has multiple starting scenarios, although doesn't use the large single piece like the traditional versions of the game do.
