Can you help me find a suitable ski???

hi,

im looking at purchasing a new pair of skis preferably twin tips as i want to start freestyle skiing and im confused as to what to buy. can anybody help me? im 170cm tall and 55kg (5' 6" and 120lb). i need something that suits the icy conditions of mt ruapehu (in new zealand), that works well on groomed trails, handle some park skiing and powder (a trip to whistler in canada in jan 2009)

if any1 knows off a ski that sounds like me could you please mention something

(at the moment im thinking of line prophet 90 (or maybe 100, but whats the difference))

oh and im a cofident intermediate-advnced intermediate skier

  1. Hey,

    The Prophet 90s and 100s are great skis, but they might feel a little long in the 165cm length (the shortest that is made).  I would recommend looking for a ski in the lower 160cms for overall quickness of turns, and less spin weight for the park.  The Roxy Black Magics that I mentioned are a 166cm, but they have a larger tail, so the contact length of the ski is similar to a 162cm length ski.  The Line Anthems sound like one of the better choices for what you're looking for however.

    Just for knowledge, the difference between the Prophet 90s and 100s an extra 10mm of width throughout the skis length for added float in powder.
