I own a 9 y/o thoroughbred gelding with a pretty high wither, I want to start riding him again (I haven't ridden him in a year) in a treeless saddle. But I dont know about his wither....were can I buy a good treeless saddle that will give him wither and spine clearance and would be sturdy on his back? I would like a western style saddle/barrel racer (synthetic please, I dont buy anything leather). Can anyone help me find one (under $400)? Here is a picture of his withers http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm262/Nevzorovhauteecole/100_1309.jpg

I’d recommend Barefoot Saddles, which is an exclusive US importer of the original and authentic treeless barefoot saddles from Germany. These Barefoot saddles are designed by Sabine Ullmann, a German equine physiotherapist. During her years working on horses with saddle related back problems, she decided to use her knowledge to create her own range of high quality saddles. Do check the treeless saddles at barefootsaddles.net and let me know if it works or not!
