The autoclave is the coolest. It's used for sterilizing reusable equipment. Basically it's like a air tight super hot dishwasher, but since it's sealed in a pressure like container, you can heat liquids up hotter then you can normally.

BUT, you  should never ever autoclave cellulose nitrate media due to decomposition hazard.
