Question:

Can you help me idetify a bee?

today in my yard on top of hose, was an insect i have NEVER seen before. it looked like a long spider...it had BIG spider looking eyes, was brown and black, resembled a wolf spider...6 legs..and flies like bee? seriously, it looked like a wolf spider and a bee mated. i know this isnt possible, so what the heck was this flying bee spider exactly? if you know PLEASE let me know thanks

  2. Voracious bee-hunter are described as having spider like legs.  It might be some other species of robber fly check these out. (first link is the Voracious bee-hunter, second are different robber flies)

  3. Yes, I can.   Spiders are wingless. But the lack of wings doesn't keep these arthropods from traveling. Sometimes spiders walk from place to place. Sometimes they hitch a ride. That explains how a cockroach-eating spider native to South America sometimes shows up in the United States. It travels compliments of imported grapes!Spiders sometimes fly. Not under their own power, of course, but by a process known as ballooning.
