the are of the base of a prism can be expresed as x^2 + 4x + 1 and the height of the prism can be expressed as x - 3.

what is the volume of this prism in terms of x?

  1. Volume = Area*height

    (x-3)(x^2 + 4x + 1)= x(x^2 + 4x + 1)-3(x^2 + 4x + 1)

      Volume=x^3+4x^2+x-3x^2-12x-3

    Volume = x^3+x^2-11x-3 answer


  2. V = (x^2 + 4x + 1)(x - 3)

    simplify
