Can you help me - re: Aprilia RS 125 - 56 Plate.?

Question

I have an Aprilia RS 125. It seems to start up ok but there is a lot of smoke. Also, it wont go past 30 mph and struggles to do 25 mph up small inclines.

This has been happening for the past week and seems to be getting worser each time i use it.

Any ideas what might be up with it and how i can fix it..?

Well it seems with the smoke and loss of power it may mean she needs a re bore. 2-strokes (or 2-cycle for our Yankee cousins) have a tendency to need new cylinders after so many miles. My advice would be get it to a garage and ride it as little as possible until you know exactly what the problem is and its fixed. If yoy need any more help contact me at [e-mail]

Um 56 Plate means nothing to us.  If that is relevant please explain a bit.
