Can you help me shrink a dvd?

Please help me figure out how to burn a dvd. I use windows movie maker, but the dvd-r will only hold an hour of the movie. My problem is the dvd shrinker. I downloaded DVD Shrink 3.2 but it will only open files from a disk. my movie files are downloaded on my computer. Please help me shrink it so i can burn the dvd. is there a certain format my file has to be in? 10 points.

  2. i used this program before and you said that its already on your pc so u probly shrunk it if u didnt all u click on is open disc... u just need another program like nero to actually burn it to the disc...so basically what i did was i insterted the disc...clicked to shrink it..once it was saved to my computer i opened nero 8 and clicked on a new project burn to dvd and added the movie file which was located in my c drive...u can download a free trial version of nero if you just wanted to try it out..thats actually how i figured it out using all different kinds of software but i found nero to work the best :) also i used dvd+r not dvd-r....hope this helps
