  1. I did something very similar to this 20 years ago and again 9 years ago. Now involved with another stupid case. CPS needs regulation and oversight right flipping now. None of these case were my own, all involved family and all were baseless, in some cases the overreaction by CPS was so great it makes you cry.

Write letters to the editor evey time they have a discussion on how CPS needs more power. Whenever a child dies, they want more power. They need oversight not power. Judges rubber stamp everything CPS does.

  2. If you didn't abuse them, Child Protective Services wouldn't have had to take them away. It hurt them more than it hurt you.

  3. According to the National Coalition for child Reform, CPS reflects the arrogance that almost always accompanies power without accountability. Lack of checks and balances. States rushing to score p.r. points and cash in on federal bounties and funds. More and more and more slipshod, quick-and dirty placements. CPS approach to families,"Take-the-child-and-run" leaving children less save. Sometimes, it destroys children in order to "save" them. The experience is kin to a kidnapping. The devastating emotional trauma endured by children.

Even in the best of times, CPS are arbitrary, capricious and cruel. State courts routinely rubber-stamp request by CPS to take away children and CPS can indeed have children removed entirely on their own. CPS needs only "a preponderance of the evidence," the lowest of jurisprudence. The public has no way to know if all sides are treated fairly. With the deck so stacked, is it any wonder that CPS almost always wins? The deck remains stacked throughout the process and also the lack of due process and the rubbing salt into the family's wounds.

One caseworker allegedly told several parents"I have the power of GOD." It is deeply disturbing if he said it. But more disturbing is this: It's true.
