I'm teaching beginner piano and voice lessons in the fall. And I feel that a boardgame, that includes all necessary information to be taught, (like, note names, rhythms, aural things, some finishing of phrases and improvisation) would make the lessons very educational, and fun for the student at the same time.

I'd like to come up with a catchy name for the boardgame but I'm a little stuck. Basically, the object is:

-there's a board and a dice, with various spots to land on.

-there are different questions that correspond with the spaces

Areas of questions include:

a) Playing notes on the piano

b) Defining important terms

c) Aural Skills

d) Rhythm Clapback

e) Improvisation/Exploring the Piano

Any suggestions???

Thanks!!!

  1. lol, that sounds like my Theory 1 class from college ;)

hmmm...I'll have to get back to you, I can only think of Musical Elements and that's not very creative!

EDIT:  If it's a fast paced game you could call it something like IMPROV

  2. music mania

    musical madness

    symphony of sound

    piano polka

You can put the word "game" after any of these.

  3. You can turn it into a bingo game.
