Question:

Can you help me think of new ways to exercise that would fit my lifestyle?

Ok, if anyone has any great ideas for me, I would really appreciate it. I don't like to exercise, I hate it, actually. I keep thinking if I could find something I really liked, I wouldn't think of it as exercise, but would do it because it's fun. I haven't found anything yet. But I have lots of limitations, so here's where it gets tricky:

I have two little kids, and I stay home with them, so I can't just be gone for hours at a time, like to a gym. My husband goes to work really early, so I can't exercise outside the home early in the morning, like some women do, while everyone is still asleep. I could do things after everyone goes to bed at night, but if it were here at the house, it has to be quiet, because, like I said, everyone would be asleep. I'm nowhere near any body of water, darn it, why do people want to live in a desert, anyway? I'm very out of shape, so I would have to work up to things slowly.

My husband gets so annoyed with me, my usual M.O. is that I get all excited about something and buy the video or piece of equipment, use it for about 1 week, and then lose interest. I like the Turbo Jam 20 minute video, as an example, but after about 1 week of doing it, I lost interest. I still like it when I force myself to do it. But that's the whole thing I'm hoping you can help with, I don't want to feel like it's forced. Help!

  1. There are a lot of fun things you can do to get fit. Going to the gym is boring as h**l, i agree. Take you're kids to the pool and do laps while they play around. swimming is great exercise. On weekend, do family activities such as hiking, waterskiing, or biking. If you have any friends who are into sports you could play tennis. All of that will help you get more fit, but I think you should go to the gym just for an hour a few days a week. Also, eat high protein and low carb, it will help you build muscle.
