Can you help me with Newspaper ideas?

Well im in the newspaper at my school and i was wondering, if u went to my school what would u like to read about? also we have to have funrasiers to make money for the paper so do u have any ideas other than carwashes and bake sales. Something that we dnt need to spend a lot of money on to get some.

Since it for a newspaper, offer free ads to local businesses if they would donate something, then all the things that have been donated, hold an auction to make money.Example:  Car washes, grocery stores, movie theater, restaurants, health gyms, etc... its a win win situation.  Things I would like to read about( I'm guessing your in high school) would be information about college, sports, jobs, fun activities,  maybe even have a weekly or monthly hero maybe a veteran or pilot or firefighter.  Have them tell an interesting story.

For a fund raiser, why not offer to recycle for your neighborhood.  Have people sort cans, cardboard, plastic, etc. and set it out on a certain day.  Take the materials to a recycling center; they usually pay, not much but if you had a lot, it adds up.
