Okay, I'm in 11th grade and I live in South Carolina. My mom may be homeschooling me my last two years. Where to get a curriculum and books?

I've got most of my credits already. All I need now is:

1 English Credit

US History II

1 Gov't & Econ. class (1/2 credit each)

1 Science Credit (Chemistry)

and 2 Math Credits.

  1. Alpha Omega is my preferred curriculum. You can get it from their web site, or even cheaper =) on ebay.

  2. Well, I use American School Of Correspondence. If you take at least 4 credits (I believe thats the number), they let you get a diploma with them. They offer all the courses you need, I think it's a great program.

  3. http://www.homeschoolreviews.com is a helpful site. It's not exhaustive, but will provide a good idea on what is available.

  4. First of all, are you interested in college? There is a lot of curriculum on the market and it varies greatly. The first curriculum company that pooped into my head when I saw the credits that you still need to take was A Beka (http:www.abeka.com). A Beka is an accelerated curriculum and if you are weak in a subject area, you may want to back down one grade level.

Math U See is a great math program that combines DVD teaching with workbooks. There is a placement test available on their website: http:www.mathusee.com

  5. A great math curriculum is ALEKs math. Here is a link for one month free. It's awesome. We've used it for 2+ years and it really cuts down on the time you have to spend on math while still learning alot.http://www.aleks.com/webform/homeschool_...

For History,Govt.  and Science  try http://www.sonlight.com .They have amazing programs and a great return policy if you don't like it.

    Best of Luck!

  6. check out sonlight curriculum or cbd distributors, both have really good deals and materials.

  7. Search the McGraw-Hill website.  They have all the books that the schools use plus you can get some curriculum advice.  Plus search some of the local schools in your area maybe they will have their curriculum posted on their school website.
