  1. club on night? do you mean the night time or the writer night? Well i don't know if this help but writting poetry is about letting yourself go. i, myself, take the free-style approach on writting my poems. OK, how bout something that got to do with the night, here goes

    Last night

the wind came to visit me

it came through my window, it was open

yet i did not feel its breeze

i dreamt its scent, between salt and dirt

it carried the sea and mother earth

    Last night,

    i fly...

well, just try to describe your subject in whatever ways or words that you think of it. Good luck

  2. I really think you should write the poem yourself, but I'll try and get you started.

The first thing to think about is what does night mean to you? If someone is asking you to write a poem about night, then your job is to make the poem, poetic, by talking about what it means in the figurative sense.

Ask yourself, what is night? Night is many things--the end of the day, but also the beginning. night is the absence of light, or the opposite of day. What does that mean? If we think of day as the time when things are visible, and clear, then is night the time when things are confused and scary?

Try this--take a style of writing you feel comfortable with--a letter to a friend--an e-mail--anything. Write that about this subject.

Key to doing this well will be to have something to write about. if you pretend to write to a friend, have a reason for writing. Here's an example based on my suggestion:

    Dear ____,

    Sometimes, late at night

I hear your voice and it's as if you never left.

It's as if we are still there, in the park

    swinging on the swings

    sliding on the slides

your tee-shirt bright in the soft moonlight.

That's my little intro, but see what you think, what you'd want to say.

I wish you luck and hope this helps!

  3. How does night make you feel?  What does the night-time smell like to you, what does it taste like?  It rains most often at night, can you smell the moisture in the air?  The crisp chill of a late November evening inside your chest?  Fresh snow by the moonlight?  Sulfurous odors of fireworks offset by the flavor of novelty ice-creams?

Do you hear anything at night?  Owls, crickets, field mice, cats, branches swaying in the wind, the occasional car gliding by along the road?

Are you afraid of the night?  Why or why not?

What does night remind you of?  Summers camping with your parents in the mountains?  Laughing on the beach after dark with your friends?  Being sexually assaulted at age 13?

Do you know anyone who works the graveyard shift at a seven-eleven?  How do you think they feel about night and day, when their normal schedules of these things are completely reversed.

    And so on.
