  1. Um, not I would not do that.

    That's a HORRIBLE example.

I don't think your daughter did something THAT bad, and even if she did hand-cuffing her to a chair is only going to irritate her, and make her not like you.

She will probably hold grudges and not forgive you, which will lead to her doing even more bad things.

And she won't have a saw handy I'm sure, so you'll probably starve her. That's seriously awful, and for you to even consider doing that makes you not a very good mother.

    Be mature.

  2. Using restraints for punishment is against the law period.  I am speaking for California Law, but I am relatively certain that this is illegal in most states.

  3. wow.

you are a really bad parent

  4. No, that is at least child abuse, at most abduction (kidnapping)

  5. Sounds like child endangerment and unlawful imprisonment at the least.  BTW, there are procedures that allow for the processing of unccoperative children, so you wouldn;t have to resort to what amounts to child cruyelty.  Those are the criminal aspects of what you'd face.  Civilly, you could have your parental rights severely reduced if not ended.

  6. no. you could go to jail for that....

  7. It is considered false imprisonment to do so. So no you may not hand cuff a child to a chair. You can spank her but not hand cuff her.

  8. no-you are not allowed to handcuff your daughter or child as punishment.

In some states it might even be considered kidnapping. I think most states would consider it at least child abuse.

***Where was the chair located that it was close to where the child handcuffed could reach a saw? Very strange situation there...

  9. No, that's not legal. CALL DYFUS. That's depriving the child and mean. You should be able to provide food for your daughter.
