Can you help me with a design for my school planner?

Question

At school, every year we get a new homework diary/planner, the only thing is, is that they're really plain.

I'm usually an arty person, and I decorated last year's no problem, but this time, I'd like something really outstanding.

I am a female, whose main love in life is indie music. My favourite bands are Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs. I love the sea, bright colours, palm trees and shells.

The design you suggest must be something I can draw preferably, and taking into account the pictures and the layout of the planner. I don't really want to have to cover up the school logo or address.

try doing a mix of collages from photos and regular objects like a scrapbook...try some grungy fonts for uniqueness and off-beat colors in wild combinations...examples -
