Can you help me with a poem problem?

I read his poem that my bf wrote for a diff girl when he was younger.....now he wants to read one of mine.

i have plenty but they're all really short. i've started to right a new one but i cant think of anything else.

i want it to come from my heart but there's so many things going on in my head; it's clouding the path from my heart to my head to my hand. any suggestions on how to help me?

I suggest you write any idea that comes to you, write a rough draft of your ideas and revisit it later on. Also If you want to write about a specific subject surround yourself with it, it can become your muse. Hope this helps!
