ok, so i suspected for a while that i had haemorrhoid's as occasionally i would notice a small amount of blood on the tissue, but today i was rather constipated and after going to the toilet there was quite a lot of blood on the tissue, it stopped mostly i just noticed a very small amount of blood when i went last, but i'm worried, i really don't want to go the doctor, is there anything i should do now, and if i just include more fibre in my diet will it help them improve (i know that they don't really go away completely), the hemorrhoids are internal.

I know this isn't the nicest question to ask but thats what the health section is for and all advice is appreciated.

  1. Piles do tend to bleed a lot more if you are constipated it does sound as though that is the problem. You should aim to eat more fibre and drink lots of clear fluids. You can pick up creams and suppositories in your local pharmacy or sometimes even supermarkets.

  2. Dont put your health at risk get it checked out.. it could be somthing simple or somethign more  dangerious like cancer..  go get it looked it. it may be embarassing but just remember its  nothign the doctor hasnt seen b4.

  3. Though haemorroids is one of the commonest causes ALL rectal bleeding must be investigated. Go get your GP to check it out.

  4. That is F*in disgusting. Go to the doctor.

  5. Please ignore the person who said you may have cancer, it is most unlikely, it is more likely that you have piles or an anal fissure.

However any unexplained bleeding should always be checked out by your doctor,  please do not be embarrassed your Doctor sees more bums, v****a`s and penises than you have had hot dinners and best of all it will stop you worrying

  6. to ease the pain of the piles/hemorroids apply some Aloe Vera gel to the site; apply some Witch Hazel to the site.

work on the the digestive system with more fiber (even if you have to use supplements).

  7. You know what you should do.  Go to the doctor.  You may well have haemorrhoids, as I have but you could also have cancer and you won't know until it is investigated, will you?

  8. They should hopefully ease off once you start eating more fibre and so long as you don't strain when you go cause that's what really aggravates them. I hope that they get better soon...

  9. yes, the hard stool caused the bleeding, and you can get rid of the problem entirely if you take steps to soften your stool.  Fiber helps, but without adequate intake of water, fiber just turns to concrete in the intestines.  Water is the key, and you can take stool softeners, available over the counter, they aren't laxatives, they don't make you go, they just soften the stool by pulling water into it, so it is easier to go.  You need to be drinking at least two liters of water daily, this will take care of your problem.
