Irish or Gaeilge,although taught as a compulsory subject in schools is the everyday spoken language of less than 20% of the Irish population.If you want information on it there are a number of different websites to try:

Irish (Gaeilge) is a Celtic language of the Goidelic branch spoken in Ireland. Although once spoken across the whole of the island, it is presently a minority language.
