Can you help me with some math problems?

v equals 1/3 times pie r squared times h, solving for h

and

a(b-2) over c-3 =x, solving for b

if someone could please help explain the steps to me, not just giving me the answer, thanks=)

  1. V = 1 /3πr^2h

    You basically solve it like a regular equation.  You want to isolate h.  So, first you would multiply both sides by the reciprocal of 1/3 (which is 3) to get...

    3V = πr^2h

    Then multiply both sides by 1/π and then 1/r^2 to get...

    3V/πr^2 = h

    ~~~~~~~~

    For the second problem just follow the same steps.  Isolate b.
