I have been a victim of road rage and cannot get over with it.

I overtook a guy in a parking lot because he stopped to admire a vehicle and was having a discussion with the passenger about it. A short while later he followed me at high speed and overtook close in front at high speed. (no damage and no argument) He speeded off.

I am sort of "glad" that i never take the persons vehicle registration down ................but then i wish i did .........I'm..im confused and angry. I can report using the camera facility at the shopping mall...if they still have the recording of his registration plates. Maybe some people will forget easily.

I have everything going for me with career job and family, I never got physically hurt or involved in any expense from incident and get the days tasks done............. but the thought keeps coming to me.

can you advise. Im looking for ways to forget it.

  1. go get laid, relieve the stress

and if that doesn't work find him and kick his ***

  2. People drive their personalities - their real internal personalities...

I've been "road raged" enough to feel my sciatica nerve hurting - I've even acted out against others, thinking back, if they weren't defensive or lucky, they may have crashed or worse, but I've read and learned and calmed down - saving gasoline along the way too.

If you are they type that's ready to jot down plate numbers, etc., right away, you are aggressive too - unless, that is, the other party caused you harm, and that is:   the incident was something that warranted action, like a hit and run or "a crazy person" tracking you all the way to your driveway.

*Most everything* takes strength on your end, where you drop your end of the rope, take a deep breath, drive exactly by the book, exactly by the speed limit, and go home.  You will live to fight another day.

Do NOT rely on security cameras, you have the same chance of obtaining that footage as a US senator.

Do NOT try to use yesterday's event to gauge how you'll drive today.

Do NOT think you are going to teach people a lesson of any sort - keep to yourself, or write your will to your family about how tough you are behind the wheel, and need to fix society!, and as a result, would like your assets to go to the local homeless shelter after your shot dead on the Schuylkill Expressway...

Be Gandhi and calm yourself down.

  3. Don't worry about the incident if nothing bad happened to either of you. What would have you done with his vehicle registration? Hunted him down and killed him? Reported him to the police for speeding? I really don't think that they would care that you were passed by one person on a road. The best thing to do would be to just take your mind off of it with thoughts of how fortunate you are that you didn't mess up the situation by rear ending him or something idiotic like that, and also that you were safe from harm.
