Can you help me with the symbols of my family crest?

There is a shield that is squarish but at the bottom it points down in the middle. And there are two red arrows like this. Except the have an angle of 90 degrees. Then there is a diamond on top but it is like a feather and the colors go red white red wight red. and a it is french

    The "squarish shield that points down in the middle" is the CONTINENTAL  shape (http://www.fleurdelis.com/shields.htm)--

    look at the 2nd one or the gray one. Is that like the one you're talking about?

      Most historians agree that the shape was usually determined by the time period and geographic region.
