Can you help me with these TV questions?

I am no good with electronics, so can you answer me these questions?

1.) If I get a tv, and I'm not gonna get cable on it, can I just simple plug it into the outlet and use only the DVD player and gaming system?

2.) How exactly do you use a cable splitter?

all you have to do is plug it in and you may use the dvd and gaming system

you need to have a satelite to have cable

1.)  Yes, just plug it in and turn it on.  If you want you can connect an antenna to it and watch any local stations for free.

2.)  You connect the cable that the signal comes in from to the input of the splitter.  You can then connect 2 TV's to the outputs of the splitter.  Each can watch it's own channel unless you have a cable or satellite box.  They each TV will receive the signal from the box whatever it is.

to number one yes you can you just plug them in and then plug the yellow red and white cords into the tv!! and to number to i think you just plug it in then hook up your cords to it sorry im not really sure good luck tho
