I used to work for New Look and had roughly the same question.

I just answered that i would be friendly and approachable so the customer would feel at ease in the store.

I would tell customers how well the quality of clothes are and the value for money as well as the range.

i would try to sell or promote products by, arranging them in advertising ways and inviting ways! i would also suggest customers towards them, treat them with respect and be as helpful as i can!
