I have all types of pasta and sweet italian sausage....

I was thinking od=f cooking the sausage in the conventional oven (whole), to keep in all the juices of the sausage....

then making some pasta... but i don't know which kind....

should i have plain sausage and butter pasta or add sauce to the pasta and sausages after?

  1. I would use a marinara sauce on the pasta and serve the sausage on top.  Make a salad and maybe some garlic bread to go with it.

  2. If you could simmer the sausage on the stove top in white wine, minced garlic and chicken broth you would have a nice sauce to put over your pasta.  I recommend linguine or penne pasta. What sauce you decide on whether white wine or just butter, add some basil and parsley for added flavor.

  3. add sauce to the plain pasta and then sausage

  4. Try this:

    4 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound sweet Italian sausage, remove casing

1 pound zucchini, cut into half-moons

1 pound summer squash, cut into half-moons

    1 onion, thinly sliced

    1/4 cup diced red pepper

    1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

    Salt and pepper

    1 pound fettucini

In a large pot over high heat, bring 4 quarts of salted water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil. In a large pan over medium high heat, add remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil and sausage. Cook until sausage is browned. Add zucchini, squash, onions, red pepper and basil and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, until the squash starts to caramelize. Season with salt and pepper. Add pasta to the boiling water and cook until just al dente. Drain reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.

Pour cooked pasta and 1/2 cup pasta water into the sausage & sauce.

    :)
