So I started a fantasy football league w/ some friends and I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I figured it'd be a fun way to spend the football season, considering I'm gonna end up watching every sunday and monday w/ my husband anyway.

So now, all my friends in my league are talking smack about me losing and I HAVE to prove them wrong. Please help me with my picks, who should I go for and in what order. Share your knowledge please!!!

  1. most leagues have a default draft order, that should help you if you don't know who to pick. it would be hard to tell you everything you need to know about fantasy FB players on yahoo answers. if you got some time, research it on computer, or just ask your husband to help you. i say get adrian peterson if you can with your first pick.

  2. NFL.com but either drafted Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Ladailian Tomilson, Adrian Peterson first

  3. You need to do some homework.  Buy at lest one fantasy football magazine and read it, or at least have it on hand when you do the draft.

The players will be ranked in order and just take the best player available when it is your turn.  Start with a quarterback and then a running back.  ONe thing I would tell you is to make sure you go after a tight end somewhere around the 4th or 5th round as there are very few of them that score pints and you want to get one that does.

  4. I take it you know nothing about fantasy football, which is no problem, that's where the best of em started :)

The most important part is draft day. Here's my strategy: In the first four rounds, you wanna mainly look to strengthen your WR and RB positions. Most drafts have the best players at the top of a list, so look there. 5th round go for a WR or an elite TE, such as Witten or Antonio Gates. 6th-8th you wanna grab a QB, whichever WR/TE you didn't get in the 5th, and a backup RB. 9th and beyond, look for a DEF, and all your other backups. LAST ROUND DRAFT A KICKER. very important you can s***w up your draft if you don't save the Kicker for last. For your backups too, you wanna draft sleepers, or players that have the potential to do really well, don't draft guys who you know are gonna do "okay" if you know what i mean. You can just google "fantasy football sleepers" to get some specifics. That's what I'd do! Make sure to check your fantasy team during the year, and make some in-season trades if need be to strengthen your roster. Good luck!
