Start by being 'PROUD" of being American, the next step is "Americans helping Americans". Write to all politicians and demand our job to be bring back to us, not to be send to China or Mexico, consume products made IN USA, save money, and make our economy grow stronger,

support companies that make their products in THE UNITED STATES and buy from them and let them know that the only reason your buying is because you want them to make their products in THE UNITED STATES. "LETS GET OUR PRIDE BACK" LETS BE THE GRAET COUNTRY THE USA ALWAYS BEEN, BEFORE WE DECIDED TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING WE OWNED TO CHINA"!!!!!!!

This is not a 'pride issue'  it's  a 'common sense' issue.  How can the Government, and Corporate America expect us to participate in taxation, or as consumers, when we have no means to make a living?  If the communications and customer service jobs are all in India, and manufacturing jobs in Mexico, and the textile jobs in Asia, those who did those types of jobs are unemployed;  how will they pay for their basic bills, or even think of buying something?  When there is no income, there is no money for taxation. And when all the better jobs are gone, the others go to undocumented workers. And when they have no more use for them, they run them out too.  So where does that leave us, what are we supposed to do?  It's just plain stupid. It seems like a scheme to gain control of our lives, because we will all be in debt and dependent on others to survive.  No nation can survive if they are not producers.  Let the oil be an example to all of us.  We must produce our own food, from the soil of the earth.  We must have our own wells when possible.

So, what do we do?  We become a community again.  We support the local farmers.  We buy from the small community stores and farmers markets when and as much as possible.  We take a day or two and plant a garden.  Those who can sew let him sew.  Learn to barter. Start now.  And be honest and elect your politicians not based on media hype and lies, but search for the truth.

For the millionth time, our government does not send jobs overseas, companies do.  Executives and CEOs make the decisions to move operations oversees, with no help or input from the government.  You'd best direct your letters to them, but they won't listen because they have companies to run.  When their competition goes oversees and makes better profits than them, you can be sure they will follow suit.  The way to make jobs stay here is to provide incentive for companies to stay here, and for most types of jobs going oversees those incentives would be lower minimum wage or decreased taxes.

I am a smart consumer, I buy the best product for the lowest price, regardless of where it comes from.  Any smart individual would do this before blindly buying American goods that might be lower quality or high priced.

Pride is a sin as far as I recall. I'm not the religious type, but I'm sure there was a reason for selecting this as a sin. Now I suppose a little self-acknowledgment is alright from time to time, but getting too prideful can damage someone, and the people around them if they let it get out of control. Besides, the corporations probably own more than people like to admit and writing to a bunch of politicians about how we want to be prideful of being Americans and get our jobs back probably won't do a d**n thing.

Job issues in the U.S are not a matter of "pride". The government and country you want me to have "pride" in is the one making multi-million dollar deals with foreign countries to outsource our jobs to. The country you want me to have "pride" in underfunds the educational system and lets other countries such as China surpass us. The U.S was never the "greatest country"- eventually our civilization will fall just as the Aztecs, Romans, and Hapsburg Empires.
