I am looking to find if there was an adoption made about 1938 in Dublin. The mothers name was Mary Paget. Shortly after she came to England-when she was 15. She was from an Irish Catholic family.

I can only ask this question now as the people involved are now deceased.

Thank you for your help

  1. cyndislist shows this as their Ireland Adoptions site:  http://www.adoptionireland.com/register/...

    Best of luck to you!

  2. You might consider trying the following website:

    http://www.adopteeconnect.com/p/a/5/

  3. Try the Irish section on www.cindislist.com

There is a useful section on adoptions. I know the law has changed in Ireland to allow adopted people to trace their families. It wasn't the case before. You should google on the internet for the names of Irish adoption laws and agency names.  Good luck.
