I have a R7 3 wood with 14gram and 12 gram weights in it, I want to promote a draw so if i put the 14 gram in the heel and put nothing in the toe would that still work or is it not smart to not have one of the weights in there?

  1. It would actually be illegal to leave an open space in the clubhead, according to the rules.  So you would have to keep the weights in regardless.  You can buy extra weights that are lighter and heavier, however, to place in the clubhead.

  2. I don't think it would damage the club at all, but you might find you are hooking it more than you want.  You could get a lighter weight to put in the toe position.
