Can you hold your tongue and say/pronounce words correctly in your head?

I was just thinking something in my head and was moving my tongue around and found out It affects my speech mentally as it does if I were to speak physically, try it...

Can anyone tell me why this happens?

yeh i just did it then, its like a psycho- semantic thing, your brain automatically thinks you cant talk so enables you from being able to do so.

Yes.But it is just habitual reaction to move tongue.

When you think or even read you are always making the words in your mouth.  I can't remember what it is called but I learned about it a psych class.  I just tried and I could do it but I had to think about it.
