Can you hook a car seat to a scooter?

I am just curious to know with gas prices the way they are if there is a legal way to hook a car seat up to a scooter?

No.........that would be completely illegal to do in every state, otherwise known as child endangerment.....

I would say if you were only planning to haul the child a short distance over relatively safe, lightly trafficked roads, it would be a reasonable thing to do IF the scooter is designed to accommodate two persons.

I personally don't think it's "child endangerment", but some people who hate motorcycles and their little cousins the scooters, might think otherwise.   So be sure and check with your local motor vehicle code (most are online).    Really, it's not significantly different than putting an infant seat on a bicycle, with the obvious exception that car seats are not made to go on a scooter, so you would need to fabricate a means of attaching it, and it d**n well better be strong enough to never break or come loose, or "child endangerment" might be the least of your troubles.
