Can you hook up a bose surround sound system to a sony home theatre and add it to an existing sound system?

my mom has a sound system in her home theatre. She has a sony bravio....She wants to utilize her bose cinemate series sound system and add it to her sony home theatre. Is this possible? One handy man said no and another said yes but neither one attemped to put it together.

You can, but why?  I would replace the Sony with the Bose, but thy both do exactly the same thing!

Bose can be proprietary some times include EXACT model numbers to be sure of compatibility.

yes you can, by connection thru auxiliary where one act as a receiver.
