I currently have directv in my living room. There is two dual satellite dishes outside. I am wondering if it is possible if I can get another Directv receiver box for another room in the house with seperate programing. There are enough hook ups down stairs so that I could hook up more things to it. But how could I do this?? I just want to by a simple reciever so I can watch on another tv without being the same channal on the other tv. I have TIVO Directv so it gets 2 outputs with watching a recording 2 seperate channels at the same time. I just want a single output for this one. How can i do this?? Please help me.. Thanks!!

  1. yes, and no, because you will pay the price the same for other box.

  2. Yes you can have more than one receiver. I have currently have two...one in the livingroom and one in the bedroom. It costs me an extra $5.99/month to operate the extra one. Of course I dished out the cost for the extra receiver also but after that its only a few dollars more a month. Like I said above where I live its 5.99 month for each additional receiver. Hope this helps....

  3. Yes. I think so. But I am sort of confused by your question. I think you'll have to have the extra box installed by DirecTV. We have 3 receiver boxes (one is HD) and you just have to call them to come set them up for you. We also have an extra TV monitor slaved to one of the TVs so you can do a workout while watching TV - but it is on the same channel.
