I was Blueberry picking last year in Maine..and saw this pouch shaped web (Not an orb) it was open at the top and looked liked a sack. It was really beautiful. i am just curious what spider would weave such a web? I have had not a lot of luck on the internet or library...appreciate any info or resources that may help.

  2. "looked liked a sack."

    Sac spider (not kidding).

    They weave small dome "tents" to hide in, usually in folds of leaves or other small tight crevaces.

    These are the spiders that weave them;

    Some of them can give painful bites that take a while to heal.
