That would just be so cruel!!!  I knew a family lawyer who was in court one day and the judge asked the parent being tried why she named her child v****a!  The parent said her name is v****a (pronounced Vageena) and I thought it was pretty!  My mom works at a school and has seen names Shithead (s**+-thay-d) and a*****e (ah-shol-ee).  Horrible right?!!?

My step sister said she used to go to school with someone with that as their middle name. So i can imagine someone having it as a first name

and what child wants that tagged onto them for life? people will always associate them with horrific mental pictures of suffering.

I know someone who has that as a middle name. His grandmother died in one of the concentration camps and that was his mother's way of keeping her memory alive. It's not that bad if it's for the right reason...

idk, i like the name, but what happened during the time period was horrible.
