Can you individually pick subjects for university?

Could I do one part history, one part geography, how does it work??

It depends on the University as some you have to meet with an adviser and they will guide you as to what classes you have to take and you have the option as to which ones you will take that particular semester. Whereas other colleges have programs where the classes are already selected for you and all you have to do is follow the plan. I personally like the second option because the classes you are taking are all required and before you know it, graduation is around the corner. Have a great day!
