Can you install Trailer Tow Mirrors on a truck if it already has original mirrors?

I have a new 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, it already has basic mirrors installed, but can I replace the basic mirrors with Trailer Tow Mirrors? Is that possible? If so how? like do I have to go to the dealer and have them install it?

yes you can have them replaced or do it yourself. they are pretty easy to do usually although the process differs a little from car to car and unfortunately im not very familiar with GM vehicles as i have worked mostly on Fords and Toyotas.

another option you can look into is strap on tow mirrors. these usually use a combination of vel-cro and elastric straps to hold the tow mirror to the existing mirror and work pretty d**n well. you can usually find them at larger RV dealers that also sell large trailors

take a gander at your local dealership show area in the parts departmet or to save some money try the local parts store.i like auto zone myself. there is extenders for towing that are as easy as snap on to what you have now.
