Can you install a cd player radio and leave the tape player and it's controls installed?

I have a 1996 Buick lesabre is it possible to intall an aftermarket cd player and remove the factory radio but leave the factory tape player installed and have both work? If so please give very detailed directions on how to do so

Yes, but only with a cheap 6 cd changer adapter, so you actually have 2 radios in your car and the second one only works if you set the first one to cd changer.

There are some cd changer to aux adapter for your specific.

It would be very messy.

Would it not be easier to just get a Buick radio with both.
