Can you install mac os on any laptop?

No, OS X only works on Apple's hardware, they have a special chip that the system must see before installing. I think there are ways of tricking OS X to go on another computer, but that is illegal and generally works badly.

Well sort of. The problem is that it will run horribly and is illegal. You would need to write all your own drivers as well. If you want to run Leopard, buy the Mac. :)

Edit: I should also mention there is a hardware difference as well. Though Apple uses intel now, they still don't use a BIOS. This is why you need Boot Camp to install Windows on a Mac.
