Thank you for the quick responses. Yes I did ask my recruiter and he doesn't know.

For the 'tard that states that the military is NOT my mommy, I am well aware of this. Thank you for your BRIEF enlightenment of what you claim to be intelligence. Next time refrain from such stupidity. Obviously joining the military and serving my country is of highest regards, a decision I have made with a whole heart, and am excited to do. Yes getting my life and education on track is also a HUGE plus to doing this as well.

  1. yes. Once your in the army it opens up a ton of doors that should allow you to not have to file for bankrupcy. Once you get to your duty station got talk with the fine people at Army Community Services (ACS remember that). the one that save me from going bankrupt was that once your in the army all previous credit card debt, including peneltys, goes to no more than 6% intrest, cut my bills by more than half. If you go into the military take advantage of all programs and benifits.

  2. If you have tons of debt and or bad debt you will not be allowed to enlist because you will not be making enough money the first year or so inthe Army to pay too many bills.  You are also a national security risk if you have any kind of job that requires a clearence because you could sell us out to get money from our enemy to pay your debt.  If you go into debt after you get in and get all screwed up with your money they can kick you out for being irresponsible with money.  The military takes things like this very seriously.  Get your life straight before trying to enlist.  The military is not your mommy and cannot fix you if you are broken.

  3. Sure, it should be no problem unless you are trying to get a Top Secret security clearance.
