  1. I sure as h**l wouldn't want some lazy irresponsible illegal covering me in a firefight.

They cannot be trusted and have proven that with their actions.

  2. Why join the army when you can just live here undetected and mooch off of OUR GOVERNMENT and buy a house and a car and have a crapload of kids.....all while you're here illegally. Why risk getting killed in a pointless war? Just hop the fence like the rest.

    **insert sarcasm here**

  3. No. You have to be a permanent resident or citizen to join the army. You can get assistance from the army to get your citizenship if you are a permanent resident.

  4. undocumented immigrants are allowed to join the army only when there is not wars going on , right now an undocumented would not be allowed to join and even though many undocumented have serve in the current Iraq war they did join before the conflict started , so to answer your questions : it is currently not possible to join the army if u were an undocumented immigrant . please read the following :

In a widely watched immigration case, the Army yesterday said it will assist Pvt. Juan Escalante, of Seattle, an illegal immigrant and veteran of the Iraq conflict, in securing legal status to remain in the United States.

Richard Olson, spokesman at Fort Stewart, Ga., called Escalante "a good soldier and a value to the Army."

"The intent of the command is to resolve this to the benefit of all parties concerned," Olson said.

An executive order signed by President Bush last year allows noncitizen soldiers who have served honorably during Operation Enduring Freedom to apply for U.S. citizenship.

That order also applies to illegal immigrant soldiers like Escalante, said Margaret Stock, professor of law at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

NOTE : by the way there is reports which indicate than there is thousands of undocumented firefighters in the USA many of them are in Georgia , the same were very important in 9/11 but many people ignore this fact .

  5. Probably is true. A lot of mexicans do that to get legalized. I guess it's not a bad idea but how can one fight for someone else's country (and potentially die for it) just for status? That baffles me.

  6. yes. and you can use your cvs card to purchase a house.

  7. Sure they can use you for target practice.

  8. This one I know for sure......

You may join the military if you are a PERMANENT resident (ie green card). Not a conditional one that you get if you have been in the US under two years. People can not join if they have not applied for and received permanent residency regardless of the time. A straight up illegal can not join period.

Part of this has to do with the military can not clear a person unless they are permanent or a US citizen. Every person in the military has what amounts to a basic security clearance.

Now they say that even if a permanent resident joins it does not guarantee a fast track to citizenship. But obviously in practice it will.

Bush did do his thing a few times. Photo op or for political reasons who knows. But the basic idea was that if you are fighting in combat for the US you deserve to be a US citizen and not have to deal with the bull entailed in becoming one. But again.... they were all PERMANENT residents not illegal.

  9. Don't give this government any more crazy ideas, they would just like to have an army formed from illegal immigrants whose job it would be to stop further illegals coming in. It would rather be like the present system of social(ist) workers with asylum seekers. They are so sympathetic to their own pockets and the build up of an work environment empire of jobsworths that they do all they can to let everybody in.

I caught sight of the internal telephone directory for one of London's local authorities, with vacancies, they had 132 social(ist) workers in their employment. When I was a lad and had to spend some time in hospital the whole organisation was run very satisfactorily by one worker then known as an Almoner.
